Navigating the Website

Responsive Web Design is a programming technique that creates websites able to adapt to the dimensions of the device they are displayed on for ease of use by the human operator. In a full and proper implementation, a Responsive Website will offer identical features and access on a mobile telephone screen as it will on a tablet or a full sized desktop monitor, with the exception of appearing smaller and reconfigured for best use by the device. It is best if such websites minimize the use of side-to-side scrolling. Some implementations allow for alternate websites for use on different devices by detecting the device, but the trend is moving away from this method toward stand-alone website(s) able to allow the device to interpret the programming as it sees fit. Since more than half of Internet users access the World Wide Web (WWW) via mobile devices, it is wise that websites allow for this feature; Diskery has been upgraded to do so. It is important to note that 'Responsive Web Design' is different from the Computer Science term of 'Responsive Design', a term referring to the ability of robots to interact with humans naturally.
